How to manage non-permanent employee profiles

Overview

Depending on your organization's setup, non-permanent workers may be managed through employee profile fields rather than a separate subcontractor module.

Before you start

Prepare:

  • worker identity and contact details
  • active status and eligibility
  • skills and assignment constraints

Steps

  1. Open employee or workforce management.
  2. Create or edit the employee profile.
  3. Set the employee type according to your internal process (for example Permanent, Inc, or Autonome).
  4. Add skills and operational constraints.
  5. Save and verify scheduling eligibility.

Scope and configuration notes

  • A dedicated "subcontractor" workflow is not always present as a separate screen.
  • In many environments, this is handled through employee type and profile data.
  • Your organization may apply additional internal rules outside Rostermind.

  • Keep employee statuses current.
  • Review compatibility rules before assignment peaks.
  • Validate skills with the same rigor as employees.
