How to configure notifications by role

Overview

Notification settings can be configured per action and per audience type (admin, employee, contact), depending on your setup.

  • Notification behavior depends on your organization's configuration.
  • Available channels can include in-app/system, SMS, and email depending on enabled features.
  • Push alerts may require additional feature activation and device subscription.

Before you start

Make sure you know:

  • which roles exist in your organization
  • which events each role must be notified about
  • which channels are enabled in your process

Steps

  1. Open notification settings (if available in your environment).
  2. Select the action or event to configure.
  3. Review which audiences are enabled (admin, employee, contact).
  4. Confirm target channels (system, SMS, email) for each audience.
  5. Save and validate with a test scenario.

Tips

  • Start with high-impact events first.
  • Keep manager and admin alerts explicit.
  • Review settings after process changes.
